You’d think that the giant outdoor stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! was invented for a band like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but apparently not, since the band played the studio’s smaller indoor spot when they stopped by the show last night. But the Yeah Yeah Yeahs tend to play every stage like it’s a gigantic outdoor one, so it worked out just fine. Karen O, dressed like an actual insane person, once again proved herself to be one of the most charismatic frontpeople out there working right now. On the show, the band charged their way through the title track of their very good new album Mosquito, and as an online bonus, they also did first single “Sacrilege,” with the song’s gospel choir appearing only via sequencer.
