Watch FLAG Perform “My War” At Their First Show
Right now, you’re probably streaming the new Daft Punk album. But if you prefer actual punk, or if you just need a quick break from all the lush, gleaming disco synths, perhaps you’ve got a moment for the two feuding versions of Black Flag about to hit the summer tour circuit. One of those, the one that’s kept the Black Flag name, is led by the band’s former musical mastermind Greg Ginn, and it recently released the new song “Down In The Dirt.” But the other, known simply as FLAG, includes four former Black Flag members, as well as one ALL/Descendents guy. That second version of the band has already generated way more goodwill, and they probably added to that when they played their first show last month at the Moose Lodge in Redondo Beach, California, the same place where Black Flag played their first show in 1979. Watch some professionally done, heart-expanding footage of them playing “My War” at the show below.
Top that, other Black Flag!
