Apocalypse Soon, the forthcoming EP from Diplo’s dancehall-centric Major Lazer project, is packed with guest appearances from Caribbean stars like Sean Paul and Machel Montano. But first single “Aerosol Can” works as a showcase for the underrated rapping skills of resurgent pop genius Pharrell. Over an insistently minimal beat, Pharrell gets all cartoonishly bouncy and breaks out the fake patois more than once. It’s a fun song, and you can hear it below.
