The Faint – “Dress Code” (Stereogum Premiere)
Dance-punk OGs the Faint have a new album called Doom Abuse coming out soon, and the first two songs were as dark and punishing as that title suggests while still giving off a whiff of whimsy. “Dress Code,” another song from the record, turns up the whimsy significantly, to the point that its spastic synths and playful robotic gurgles could pass for Devo. It’s fun, so listen to it below.
