Hand Sand Hands is Jonathan Miller, a Minnesota native and Athens, Georgia resident who makes dazed yet frenetic lo-fi psych. Next week Autumn + Colour is reissuing Miller’s 2013 album Lord Of Talk, and today we’ve got a preview in the form of “Jasem Das Seine.” For minutes and minutes, mounds of feedback and industrial clatter keep piling up while Miller lets loose ethereal howls, until suddenly the haze clears but the confusion remains. Fans of Liars’ Drum’s Not Dead or Miller’s fellow Georgia noise-pop auteur Bradford Cox will undoubtedly dig it, as will anyone who likes their melodies encased in swirling sheaths of static.
