Voodoo Experience, the huge New Orleans music festival, just announced its lineup for this fall’s edition, and it will look pretty familiar if you’ve seen a lot of other festival lineups this year. Foo Fighters, one of this year’s headliners, haven’t played all that many festivals lately, but OutKast and Skrillex, the other two headliners, are keeping their outdoor-throwdown schedules full this summer. Further down the bill, you’ll find plenty of bright lights — Arctic Monkeys, Slayer, Gogol Bordello, Action Bronson — but you’ll also find a ton of big-name EDM (Zedd, Pretty Lights) and corporate rock (30 Seconds To Mars, Rise Against). One nice, thing, though, is the inclusion of a ton of New Orleans artists on the bill: Big Freedia, Rebirth Brass Band, Quintron & Miss Pussycat. More festivals should make an effort to reflect the places where they’re happening. The whole thing comes to City Park 10/31 – 11/2. Find out more about this years fest here.
