SUV Carrying Schoolboy Q Shot At After Show In Colorado, Three Other Passengers Injured
UPDATE: As Pitchfork points out, Schoolboy Q actually may have been a target in the shooting. ABC News Denver reports that Q was in an SUV with all three shooting victims, though he wasn’t personally hit, according to a spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. They still haven’t found whoever shot at the SUV.
The vast majority of rap shows, especially big rap shows, are not dangerous places to be. Every once in a while, though, an exception comes along. Last night, Nas, Schoolboy Q, and Flying Lotus played a show together at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, outside Denver. In a parking-lot shooting after the show, three people were injured. Police do not have a suspect in custody, but in what you’d have to imagine was a mistake, they did detain at least one person: Schoolboy Q. A couple of area news reporters tweeted photos of Q in handcuffs, though he was apparently not arrested. You can see those photos below.
