Gavin Rossdale Joins The Voice As Gwen Stefani’s Adviser
Gwen Stefani and former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale have previously collaborated on things like “touring during the high alt-rock era” and “having children.” And now they’ll be collaborating to shepherd wide-eyed hopefuls through a season of the NBC singing competition The Voice. As previously announced, Stefani will join the show during its next season, working as one of its four coaches. She’ll assemble a team and try to help them sound good singing on television. And each of the show’s four teams gets a not-quite-as-famous adviser, an assistant coach sort of position. On Stefani’s team, that’ll be the guy who sang “Glycerine,” as Access Hollwood reports. So if you’re a grunge howler and you need help with your on-camera smouldering, perhaps you’d best pick Team Stefani. Somewhere, the guy from Sponge is wishing he’d married a pop star.
