Hear Modest Mouse’s Previously Unreleased “White Lies, Yellow Teeth” From The Lonesome Crowded West Reissue
This fall, Isaac Brock’s Glacial Pace Records along with Fat Possum will release vinyl reissues of Modest Mouse’s classic first two albums, 1996’s This Is a Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About and 1997’s The Lonesome Crowded West. Those reissues will be paired with 7″s featuring previously unreleased songs recorded by the band during those sessions: “Too Many Fiestas For Rueben”; an alternate version of Lonesome Crowded West track “Cowboy Dan”; “Buttons To Push The Buttons”; and “White Lies, Yellow Teeth.” These songs have been floating around for years online, but this is the first time they’ve been given official release by the band, and you can stream “White Lies, Yellow Teeth” right now.
Modest Mouse’s This Is a Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About reissue is out 10/28 and The Lonesome Crowded West reissue is out 11/4 via Glacial Pace/Fat Possum.
