R.I.P. Ian McLagan
Ian McLagan, keyboardist for Small Faces and Faces, passed away today in Austin, Texas following complications from a stroke. He was 69. “It is with great sadness and eternal admiration that we report the passing of rock and roll icon Ian McLagan,” a statement read on his website. “He was a beloved friend to so many people and a true rock n roll spirit. His persona and gift of song impacted the music across oceans and generations,” said his manager Ken Kushnick. In addition to his work with Small Faces and Faces, he worked with the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and more throughout his career. He was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012. McLagan was scheduled to begin a North American tour today.
