Libertines Sign To Virgin EMI For First Album Since 2004
Former Brit-rock brats the Libertines reunited earlier this year (after playing a few 2010 shows together) and made noises about a new album, but now it’s official. They’ve signed with Virgin EMI, and they’re planning to release their third album next year. It’ll be their first since their 2004 self-titled sophomore LP. As Pitchfork reports, the members of the group signed the contracts recently in Thailand, where co-leader Pete Doherty is in rehab. The mere fact that Doherty is in rehab is almost certainly a good sign for this reunion, and the facility sure looks pretty. Below, check out some more photos from the signing.
