I’m not going to pretend there’s some kind of news value in this video of Sir Elton John falling backwards out of his courtside chair at a tennis tournament Sunday, but from a slapstick perspective it’s pure gold. I mean, look at this damn Vine.
The 67-year-old Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer wasn’t hurt anyhow, so it’s all in good fun. The footage comes from the Statoil Masters at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Here’s a lengthier video followed by an interview with John. The commentator’s repeated concerned gasps are also highly entertaining.
