Busses – “Wizard Of The Eye” (Stereogum Premiere)
Busses are one of the many fine rock bands hailing from Philadelphia these days. “Wizard Of The Eye,” the title track from their new LP, is a monstrous, melodic guitar outburst that touches on the raucous garage rock of the Ty Segall/Wand/Meatbodies school, the sunshine psych of Tripping Daisy, and the off-kilter post-rock of Akron/Family. It’s a big beast of a song, ferocious but friendly enough to keep coming back to. Listen below.
Wizard Of The Eye is out 2/17, and Busses play an album release show 2/14 at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia.
