Snoop Dogg’s Pharrell-Produced LP Bush Out In March
Snoop Dogg once extended his career a few years by making a pair of enormous hits, “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Beautiful,” with Pharrell. But those songs both came out more than a decade ago, and it’s been a while since Snoop has had a hit, or even made anything especially listenable. That could change as early as this spring. Pharrell, who has obviously been on fire lately, is working on a full collaborative album with Snoop. Rap-Up reports that Snoop was speaking at an Omicom Media Group panel, whatever that is, in Last Vegas yesterday when he made the announcement. The album is called Bush, and it’s out in March on Columbia and Pharrell’s i am OTHER label. Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson will make appearances. The first single is called “Peaches N Cream.” Pharrell has already offered an enthusiastic endorsement: “Snoop’s album is better than mine. You’re gonna bug out from the approach and what we did.” I am guardedly optimistic!
