Dick Diver – “Tearing The Posters Down”
The awesomely-named Australian band Dick Diver are three albums deep into their career, but none of those albums have come out in the U.S. until now. (They’re named after an F. Scott Fitzgerald character, but let’s all pretend they’re not.) The band’s new LP Melbourne, Florida, their third, arrives on these shores next month, and we’ve already posted first single “Waste The Alphabet.” Now they’ve got another one for us. It’s a nervous jangle called “Tearing The Posters Down,” and it fits nicely in the lineage of indie-pop that’s been coming out of Australia and New Zealand for decades. If you like that new Twerps album — and that new Twerps album is good! — you’ll probably like this. Listen below.
Melbourne, Florida is out 3/10 on Trouble In Mind/Chapter Music.
