Watch Beyoncé Cover “Fingertips” At Last Night’s Stevie Wonder Tribute Concert
Songs In The Key Of Life, the Grammys’ tribute to Stevie Wonder, won’t air for another week, but it was filmed last night at the Nokia Theater in L.A., and as Reuters reports, Beyoncé was the surprise opener. She performed “Fingertips” then was joined by Ed Sheeran and Gary Clark Jr. for a mix of “Master Blaster” and “Higher Ground.” If a Beyoncé/Sheeran partnership seems odd to you, you’re not alone, but unexpected alliances are being forged all the time these days. (Bey and Jay Z did share dinner with Sheeran recently; maybe he’ll be there for their brunch with Taylor Swift?) Other performers on the night included Tony Bennett and his pal Lady Gaga, Pharrell, Usher, Chris Martin, Willie Nelson, Ne-Yo, Ryan Tedder, Andrea Boceli, Annie Lennox, John Legend, Janelle Monaé, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson and Wonder himself. Check out bootleg footage of Beyoncé’s performance below.
Songs In The Key Of Life airs 2/16 on CBS.
