What Movies Did You See During The Holidays?
The holidays are finished. That’s it. No more eggnog and rum in the early evening, no more parties, no more sparkling lights to brighten the dark 4PM sky, no more having something to look forward to. Now all that’s left in our immediate future are weeks of winter work, my birthday, and then waiting for summertime. Or I guess you can make the most of your winter, enjoy wintery stuff, and have a nice life because it’s the only one you get, IT’S UP TO YOU! There are a million ways to look at a snow globe. “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Shia LaBeouf. Even though the holidays are over, I would still like to talk about them. Is that all right? Specifically I’d like to talk about what movies you saw during them. I saw three movies: Anchorman 2, Saving Mr. Banks, and The Punk Singer. One of them was way, way, way too long for how few good jokes it had; one of them was incredibly frustrating in the way that it depicted a woman’s ownership over her own creative work; and one of them taught me that Kathleen Hanna is married to Adam Horovitz, which is not something I had any idea about, and is very much worth seeing, especially if you are a young woman. Not saying which one was which! “Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man’s desire to understand.” -Shia LaBeouf. I still haven’t seen The Wolf of Wall Street. Did you? I bet you did! What did you think? Controversy yes or controversy no? What else did you see? Hmmm? Hmmmmmmm?
