The Videogum Why Don’t YOU Caption It?! Contest: Werner Herzog And Errol Morris Hugging Under A Rainbow
I hung out with children this past weekend. It was great! Children are wonderful because they are very emotional and weird and stubborn and kind, and hanging out with them is something I really enjoy. NO CREEPO. At one point the youngest child was going on and on about how much he liked a certain gift one of the adults had gotten for him a few months ago, and after a while of going on about it, he paused and said to the adult, “Thank you for getting it for me.” CAN YOU IMAGINE? It was certainly one of the sweeter things I’ve witnessed recently — a baby, practically, taking a moment to express his gratitude. (This baby also pointed out earlier in the day that “Even tough guys get owwies,” which is just, like, does this baby ever turn it off?!) Anyway, this photo of Werner Herzog and Errol Morris hugging each other and smiling UNDERNEATH A RAINBOW at the Telluride Film Festival does not fill me with nearly the same amount of joy as that baby saying “thank you,” but it certainly comes as close as it can! As, you know, a photograph of two documentarians! Does it fill you with the same kind of joy? Enough joy, at the very least, to CAPTION IT?! I CERTAINLY HOPE SO!
Winner will receive special placement in this week’s Monsters’ Ball and the joy of 100 Herzog hugs. (Full rainbow hug after the jump.) (Via FilmDrunk.)
