Ugh, high school is the wooooooorst! People complain about their high school experiences so much that it’s sometimes difficult to remember that even in the cases where the person shouldn’t be complaining about their high school experience because it sounds pretty run-of-the-mill, and there are people out there who actually had abnormally bad ones so just be quiet, it’s not a PERFECT time for anybody, that no actually they should be complaining because remember how many STANDARDIZED TESTS YOU HAD TO TAKE? Hahah. I know it took a long time to get there, but it was worth it! You’re about to hear the story of a young man who wrote YOLO on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) test because he had to take it even though it wouldn’t count towards any grade — only the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test, another standardized test he had to take, would. ?????? TWO TESTS?! I’M ABOUT TO WRITE YOLO IN SHARPIE ON MY COMPUTER JUST FROM WRITING THAT POORLY CONSTRUCTED BLOG SENTENCE! I hate tests! Here’s the full story:

Obviously we all stand behind Kyron in this tough time because we still carry with us a lot of anger about high school test-taking, but because we are ADULTS we can also see that maybe he shouldn’t have sent the tweet to the school district officials and the Texas Education Agency? Hahahahaaaaa. Kyron! SO CLOSE! Definitely write YOLO on the test and definitely tweet it so people can see what you did — you’re not writing YOLO for your health, for goodness sakes — but definitely DO NOT tweet it AT the people who are going to get you in trouble for it.
