Migos – “Mr. Miyagi”
The straight-to-DVD comedy Finesse looks really, really bad. It does, however, boast a soundtrack that features many of the best and brightest people from Atlanta’s absurdly fertile rap scene: Future, Rich Homie Quan, Que, PeeWee Longway. The three members of Migos all appear in the movie, and their new track “Mr. Miyagi,” which salutes an entirely different (and almost certainly way, way better) movie in its title, is on the soundtrack. You probably have a pretty good idea what a Migos track called “Mr. Miyagi” sounds like before you hear it, but that’s not a problem. It’s a weird, dumb thrill just to hear them yell the phrase “Mr. Miyagi” in that often-imitated Migos flow. The track is only two minutes long, and Zaytoven, who did the music for the movie, produces. Listen below.
The Finesse soundtrack is out now on Familiar Territory Records.
