Preview James Murphy’s Score From Noah Baumbach’s While We’re Young
Noah Baumbach’s newest feature film, While We’re Young, will be released toward the end of this month. It’s bound to be a romanticized portrayal of young and not-so-young arty types trying to “find themselves” in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It’s destined to infuriate me. All prejudice aside, it’s very cool that James Murphy scored the film, and in my opinion, even cooler that the Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock plays a supporting role. We’ve already seen a list of songs included on the soundtrack, and now Murphy has shared “Only The Stars Above Welcome Me Home,” a sample of what the rest of the score will sound like. You can hear the song over at Pitchfork. Watch a trailer for While We’re Young below.
While We’re Young opens 3/27.
