Scott Weiland Apologizes For Being An Asshole At Fan Meet-And-Greet
It must be amazing to be Scott Weiland. You spend the better part of two decades pissing away any fan goodwill, and there are still people willing to pay three figures to get their picture taken with you. Apparently, though, Weiland doesn’t see it that way. As Alternative Nation reports, Weiland recently played a show in Boston, and he did a meet-and-greet afterward for fans willing to pay $150 for the privilege. But according to fans on an STP message board, he’d say things like “Let’s get this shit done with” while posing for the pictures. He reportedly responded to a fan who’d said, “I just wanted to tell you I have been a fan for 20 years,” with something along the lines of “OK, hurry up, I don’t want to hear it.” Also, this: “He said ‘let’s suck a dick!’ to me and that was it. Over and done in 10 seconds. He was definitely drunk and ready to get outta there.” Weiland has since posted an apology on Facebook, and here it is:
I would like to make a sincere apology to the fans that were at the meet and greet in Boston. I’m embarrassed by my behavior and some of the things that I said. Fans don’t deserve that. Without our fans and supporters, we would not be able to do what we’re doing. I put my all into the show that night and honestly was just beyond exhausted…either way, I acted like a total asshole and for that I’m truly sorry. – Scott

He could’ve just said, “I’m half the man I used to be.”
