Whenever Kanye West shows up somewhere, it makes headlines. So obviously his appearance during the Weeknd’s set at Coachella was news. But Kanye also joined Belgian superstar Stromae during his set at the festival yesterday. I first heard about Stromae in spring of last year when one of my friends excitedly described how he was this huge pop star in Europe, but Stromae’s rise began much earlier with the 2009 hit “Alors On Danse,” which featured none other than Kanye on the remix. It went platinum in three countries, so of course Kanye had to at least make an appearance alongside Stromae onstage while he performed it. The crowd was obviously ecstatic, as you can see in the clips below.
