Add Madonna to the list of celebrities who probably shouldn’t broadcast their every thought onto social media. After previously drawing fire for her insensitive #RebelHeart campaign that featured civil rights leaders tied up in wire mimicking her most recent album cover, she’s at it again making UK fans angry by showing support for former British Prime Minister Maragaret Thatcher. Yesterday, Madonna posted a photo of the notoriously conservative PM with the caption “Thank you Margaret Thatcher! #unapolgetic #rebel heart” and included the quote “If you just set out to be liked, you will be prepared to compromise on anything at anytime, and would achieve nothing.” As The Independent points out, Thatcher was well-known for introducing a ban on the promotion of homosexuality in schools across the UK, which isn’t a good look for Madonna’s large gay fanbase.
