Israeli producer Kutiman has made a name for himself by chopping up and stitching together videos of amateur musicians on YouTube, reshaping them into loop-happy, organic-sounding sample-funk jams. His second album of these remix creations, Thru You Too, came out last year. And now, the remixer becomes the remixee, with fellow Tel Aviv natives Garden City Movement putting their own spin on Kutiman’s “Give It Up.” Their version is bit more minimal and languid, giving every sound time to breathe and hang in the air for a few moments.
