Memphis garage-rock aggressors Nots will follow up debut album We Are Nots with a new 7″ this summer to accompany tour dates with skuzz-rock royalty including Black Lips, Quintron & Miss Pussycat, and Cold Beat. Built around an incessantly cycling bass riff and ragtag drums, “Virgin Mary” flares up into an abrasive array of noises — jagged synths, discordant guitars, antagonistic vocals — before veering into a chaotic conclusion.
