In a couple of weeks, reunited Swedish post-hardcore energy gods Refused will release Freedom, their first album since the 1998 landmark The Shape Of Punk To Come. We’ve already heard two pretty great early songs, “Elektra” and “Françafrique,” and now they’re letting us hear a third. “Dawkins Christ” starts with a chiming, slow-building intro that explicitly recalls the band’s 1998 anthem “New Noise.” But when it explodes, it explodes into its own thing.
