Carrie Brownstein Shares Cover Of Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl
When we interviewed Carrie Brownstein last year, she discussed the progress she’d made on her memoir, which has been in the works since 2012 and was, at the time, untitled. We later learned that the book will be released this October, and that Brownstein had decided on the apt title Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl, based on a line from Sleater-Kinney’s 2005 song “Modern Girl.” The memoir will be published by Riverhead Books, a subsidiary of Penguin, and today they’ve revealed its sparse, striking cover art; check it out above.
Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl is out 10/27 via Riverhead Books.
