Watch Bleachers Cover The Cranberries At Logo’s Trailblazer Honors
Lately, it seems like Jack Antonoff of Bleachers is everywhere. He did a song with Grimes, he’s been covering Kanye’s emotional New Years lullaby “Only One,” and two weeks ago, he even jammed to the ’80s with Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis at Bonnaroo.
Continuing his winning streak, last night at the 2015 Trailblazer Honors — an award show that honors pioneers for LGBT visibility and acceptance — Antonoff performed the Cranberries’ iconic “Dreams.” He’s been doing this cover for a while now, and the ’80s-meets-dream-pop vibe suits Bleachers entirely. Even if his voice can never reach the heights that Dolores O’Riordan’s gauzy warble scales, it’s a near-perfect rendition of a gorgeous track. Watch below.
