Last month, California’s famous record chain Amoeba Music acquired a large collection of vinyl from an “iconic industry family” located in New Jersey. One of the records in that collection turned out to be a test pressing of Bob Dylan’s 1975 classic Blood On The Tracks — one of five they say is in existence — and the store is selling it for $12,000, which makes it the most expensive record they’ve ever put up for sale.

Dylan famously recorded the album in New York, and then re-recorded half of the tracks in Minneapolis a few months later, resulting in an album that’s split evenly between the two sessions. This test pressing is said to contain four previously unreleased takes of “Tangled Up In Blue,” “Idiot Wind,” “Lily, Rosemary, And The Jack Of Hearts,” and “If You See Her, Say Hello,” and a different take of “You’re A Big Girl Now” that was eventually included on Dylan’s 1985 Biograph boxset.

The test pressing is on display and up for sale at the Amoeba Hollywood store now.
