The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. just released his new solo album Momentary Masters, and last night, he was the musical guest on The Tonight Show. On the show, he knocked out the single “Losing Touch” while wearing a suit that looked like something the Riddler would wear. Onstage, the solo-artist version of Hammond sure seems to have way more confidence than the solo-artist version of his bandmate Julian Casablancas. But I’d love to hear why Hammond gave the song’s guitar solo to a guy from his backing band. Hammond’s own solos are great! Watch the performance below.
