Zayn Malik Accepts Tyler, The Creator’s Offer To Make Epic Music Together
Earlier this year, Zayn Malik became the first member to leave pop phenoms One Direction. Malik wasn’t the most famous member of the group — that’d be Harry Styles — but he was the best singer, the resident bad boy, and (arguably, at least) the best-looking one of them. He seems like a very good prospect for a big solo career, and our own Chris DeVille spent an entire Week In Pop column wondering what he might do now that he’s untethered from his boy-band past. Malik recently signed a solo deal with RCA. And over the weekend, around the same time that he canceled his Australian tour because of controversy over his lyrics, Tyler, The Creator reached out to Malik on Twitter about making some music together. Malik has now responded, and he’s down. While we sit around and imagine how this team might sound together, here’s the Twitter exchange:
HI @zaynmalik I HAVE BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENTALS AND YOU HAVE A VOICE LETS FIGURE THIS OUT MY GUY . EPIC ALBUM CUTS THO NO RADIO SINGLES
