Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift Win Emmy Awards
Foo Fighters’ Sonic Highways docuseries picked up four Emmy nominations, and last night at the Creative Arts Emmys — which primarily celebrate technical achievements — the series’ “Seattle” episiode won in two categories, Outstanding Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming and Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming, beating out Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck in both. Taylor Swift also took home her first Emmy award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media: Original Interactive Program for her AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience special, which gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her “Blank Space” video.

Other music-related winners include Inside Amy Schumer winning Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for “Girl, You Don’t Have To Wear Makeup” and the Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key of Life: An All-Star Grammy Tribute winning Outstanding Music Direction. HBO’s Bessie Smith biopic Bessie also won Outstanding Television Movie, Outstanding Music Composition, Outstanding Cinematography, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Limited Series or a Movie.
