Equal parts psychedelic guitar fuzz and uncompromising sing-babble, Sun Club’s newest track “Worm City” is sun-bleached and aching of euphoria. The Baltimore five-piece fiddles with jangly guitar-pop that lies fixedly between a sober version of ATO labelmates King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and a more hedonistic Tame Impala, delightfully reverb-soaked and hinging on the barriers of what it means to be “pop.” It’s sonic debauchery, as intoxicating as it is lawless.
