Here’s a weird anecdote from Rolling Stone’s new profile of the Weeknd. In the feature, Abel Tesfaye describes his first encounter with Taylor Swift, who you may recall welcomed him to the MetLife Stadium stage back in July. Per Tesfaye, Swift spent 15 minutes professing her love for his music and House Of Balloons track “The Morning” in particular, telling him, “I’ve been listening to ‘The Morning’ for years — it’s one of my favorite songs ever!” That in itself is not that weird; Swift has more eclectic taste than she sometimes gets credit for. What’s weird is that she kept petting Tesfaye’s hair the whole time:

But the whole time she was talking, she was kind of, like, petting my hair? I think she was just drawn to it — she must have been a little gone off a few drinks. And of course I’m not going to be like, “Hey, can you stop?” I mean, it felt good! But when she started petting my hair, that’s when I was like, “I definitely need a drink.”

I feel like there is a “Can’t Feel My Face” joke to be made here, but I’ll leave that to you guys.
