Rick Ross Seems To Target Drake On New Track “Color Money”
During this past summer’s Drake/Meek Mill feud, Rick Ross stayed neutral. Meek is part of Ross’ Maybach Music crew and label, and he’s collaborated with Drake many times over the years, so he was in an uncomfortable position. But it’s weird that now, months after that’s died down, Ross has commented on the spat on record, and it’s even weirder that he’s come down decisively on Meek’s side. On “Color Money,” a track from Ross’ forthcoming album Black Market, Ross makes reference to Drake’s songs “Back To Back” and “0 To 100,” and while he omits names and remains vague, he sure seems to be offering Drake a warning: “Color money got your bitch out on a world tour / My little homey made a million on his girl’s tour / We back to back and down to whack a nigga unborn / Miami niggas got ‘em changing all they gun laws / So run, Forrest, got some shooters, and they down, too / I got more money than that pussy that you’re signed to.” Hear a radio rip below.
Black Market is out 12/4 on Maybach Music/Def Jam.
