Rustie Cancels Shows Because Of “Addiction & Mental Health Problems”
The genre-blurring Glasgow producer Rustie isn’t going to be doing any shows anytime soon, and he’s being commendably forthright about his reasons why. As Pitchfork points out, Rustie tweeted recently that he’s canceling all his upcoming dates, citing “addiction & mental health problems.” He didn’t go into any further details, but props to him for not just claiming “exhaustion” or whatever. Back in October, Rustie was hospitalized for complications from diabetes, and he made a new track called “160 Hospital Riddim” from his hospital bed. (Since then, he’s released the surprise album EVENIFUDONTBELIEVE.) Here are Rustie’s tweets:
Due to addiction & mental health problems, all gigs in the near future are cancelled. Very very sorry & hope to see u all soon 💗

Hopefully, he’s getting the help he needs.
