Today, he shares “Urchin” — a spacious, sprawling work of minimalism which rises and falls in three segmented moments. Hence the #spliced hashtag on SoundCloud. A prolonged intro with atmospheric sweeps and sparse low-end bass hits inspire the feeling of false starts building into a repetitive march driven by winding synths. That recedes into scant piano key strokes leading up into the final moment with exquisitely layered synths that are all too entrancing. Listen below.
