Last year, we found out that Netflix was hopping on the hip-hop drama trend with The Get Down. The series is executive produced by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby) and Shawn Ryan (The Shield), and focuses on a group of South Bronx teenagers in the 1970s who rise up through the ranks of a broken down New York City to give birth to the hip-hop, punk, and disco scenes. Today, the first trailer for the series was debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show, and you can watch it below.

The show will debut sometime this year.
