The Cradle is the latest project of Paco Cathcart, a New York-based musician known for his work with Big Neck Police who has produced releases for Sediment Club, recent Band To Watch Palm, and the Gradients. Those artists all hone a similar mathy aesthetic, and the Cradle’s forthcoming album promises to revel in a simultaneously calculated and improvisational vibe. Temperate Lands marks Cathcart’s second physical release — the first being Feeding Tube’s pressing of 2015’s Drink The Water — but the Cradle’s Bandcamp page is absolutely stacked with material dating back to 2012. “Screen Of Skin” is the album’s latest contorted odyssey of a single; listen below.
