TEEN – “Please”
“Please” takes things down a notch from the excitability of TEEN’s first two singles — “All About Us” and “Tokyo” — off the group’s upcoming third full-length, Love Yes. In an interview with Rookie Lizzie Lieberson talked about the origins of the song, which was written in upstate New York last winter: “It was a particularly rough day, and I remember just needing to get out of the house. So I went out in the snow and walked for a really long time and just wrote in a book I brought with me. I then came back to the house and locked myself in a room and recorded a demo.” The song is about the Lieberson’s father, who passed away a few years ago, and is “basically me wishing I could have a conversation with him.” Listen below.
