Future Reportedly Debuting An Album On DJ Khaled’s New Apple Music Show This Friday
Future has released an insane five full-length projects in the past 16 months — six if you count What A Time To Be Alive, his co-headlining mixtape with Drake — and the routinely high quality of those releases has already attained legendary status among rap fans, foremost among them our own rap columnist Tom Breihan. But as unbelievable as this run has been, it might be getting even more ridiculously impressive this Friday. Future’s frequent collaborator DJ Khaled is launching his Beats 1 radio show We The Best Radio this Friday, and in a brief online video today the two of them announced that a new Future full-length will debut during the show’s inaugural broadcast:

This new project — which is either a mixtape or an album called Tape, depending on how you interpret Khaled’s comments — is scheduled to arrive less than three weeks after Future’s strong Purple Reign mixtape and less than seven months after his “fucking incredible” DS2 LP. Assuming it’s any good, turning around another project so quickly might be the guy’s most impressive feat in a career full of them.
