When you’re hungover, feeling shitty, riddled with anxiety, “Avoiding Boys” will be there to tell you: “I don’t care what you might say/ This is gonna be a great fucking day.” The second single following “Last Year” from ROMP’s upcoming debut album sees the New Brunswick band oozing with positivity and confidence — Madison Klarer sounds cool, crisp, and decisive: “Last summer I could barely get up/ Nothing was easy,” she reflects in the verses.
