Hear Thundercat’s New Untitled Song
The space-jazz bass virtuoso Thundercat releases plenty of music, and not all of it is tied to a new album or EP. Back in November, he released “Paris” as a tribute to the city after it endured the big terrorist attack. And today, he’s shared an untitled new track on Australian radio, as Pitchfork points out. During a recent interview with the Sydney station FBi Radio, he debuted a squelchy, way-out R&B song that he recorded with the L.A. producer Mono/Poly. It sounds a bit like Usher’s “U Don’t Have To Call,” if it had been recorded in some faraway dimension. To hear it, head over here and jump to the 14:20 mark.
