Former Eagles Bassist’s Wife Killed Under Suspicious Circumstances
The wife of former Eagles bassist Randy Meisner was shot and killed yesterday in their Studio City home in California. According to TMZ, Meisner was suspected of killing of his wife, Lana Rae Meisner, until the LAPD concluded that she accidentally shot herself after an investigation.
The details surrounding the incident are certainly suspicious. Police say Lana Rae was moving a rifle that was stored in closet when it accidentally went off. An hour and a half before Randy called to report his wife had been shot, Lana Rae called 911 to report domestic violence at the house. She claims Randy was waiving a BB gun and “acting erratically.” Randy then called the cops and claimed he found her in another room of their house shot in the head. Randy was ultimately taken to a hospital early this morning after “acting in an altered state.” The couple has had many domestic disputes in the past, and unfortunately it appears that this one led to death.
