Parquet Courts Promote New Album With Newspaper Vending Machine
Parquet Courts have set up a newspaper vending machine in Bushwick, Brooklyn to promote their upcoming new record Human Performance. Their label, Rough Trade Records, sent out a tweet yesterday giving away the location of the machine — it’s across the street from a mural of the album artwork off the Jefferson L stop — and an intrepid Redditor made the journey to pick up whatever could be inside. Turns out it’s just a poster and a newspaper print one-sheet with some coupons and lyrics for the record, but hey, it could have been anything. Remember when those vending machines contained actual newspapers? Check out images of its contents via Reddit below.
Human Performance is out 4/8 via Rough Trade.
