Aesop Rock – “Blood Sandwich” Video
Veteran underground MC Aesop Rock is gearing up to drop his latest album, The Impossible Kid, at the end of next month. He’s shared the lead single, “Rings,” and given it the visual treatment along with some awkward therapy sessions with a cartoon bear. Today he’s back with the followup, “Blood Sandwich,” and a matching clip. The song is about Aes’ little brother, whom he doesn’t get to see much. The agile MC unfurls a disturbing tale about his brother’s Little League game where a crazy coach plays a live game of Wack-A-Mole with an aluminum bat in front of his team. The video, directed by Rob Shaw, is a live reenactment of the story cleverly depicted in an old-school slideshow as Aes strolls down memory lane with the clicker. The Impossible Kid is shaping up nicely, getting more varied with each drop. Watch.
The Impossible Kid is out 4/29 via Rhymesayers. Pre-order is available in various forms here.
