Anderson .Paak – “The Season / Carry Me / The Waters” Video
I already really liked Anderson .Paak’s recent album Malibu a whole lot, and everything that the guy has done since its release — live TV performances, festival appearances, collaborations — has only made me like him more. Today, the SoCal singer/rapper has unleashed a new music video for Malibu tracks “The Season / Carry Me” and “The Waters” (feat. BJ The Chicago Kid), and it continues his streak of excellence. Directed by Chris Le and .Paak himself, the narrative clip is a surreal six-minute odyssey of Monty Python-esque animation that resembles the album’s collage-like cover art, following .Paak as he goes through spiritual trials and tribulations and encounters a Donald Trump trash monster. I couldn’t tell you what it all means, but it’s really good, and you should watch below.
