Hip-Hop Fest Food Tent: 1 Dead After Assault, Several Injured In Fryer Explosion
Well, here’s some awful news: Yesterday, a man was assaulted and killed at KSFM’s 102.5 Live hip-hop festival at Sacramento’s Discovery Park, an event that featured performances from Ty Dolla $ign, E-40, Kehlani, the Internet, and Desiigner, among others. The Sacramento Bee reports that the 31-year-old victim was at a food both when he got into a confrontation with another man. According to witnesses, the assailant then proceeded to sucker-punch victim, who immediately became unresponsive and was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Police are still searching for the suspect.
Earlier in the day, at the same event, several people were injured when a propane tank exploded at another food booth. Three individuals suffered burns that weren’t serious enough to require hospital treatment, but three more were hospitalized with injuries sustained from the small stampede that resulted as concertgoers fled.
