Watch Pete Doherty Debut The Bataclan Attack Song “Hell To Pay At The Gates Of Heaven”
Later this year, when Paris venue the Bataclan reopens after last year’s horrifying terrorist attack, its first headliner will be the Libertines co-leader Pete Doherty. And as Pitchfork points out, Doherty debuted a song about the Paris terror attacks at a recent solo show in Manchester. The song is called “Hell To Pay At The Gates Of Heaven,” and it’s about what might motivate teenagers to pick up guns and attack strangers. It won’t exactly inspire too many deep thoughts, but at least people from the music world are attempting to address the worst thing that’s happened in that world in a long time. Watch the performance below.
Doherty will headline the reopened Bataclan 11/16.
